John Forrest Ball
Saturday, May 13, 2006

Yesterday was the John Forrest Senior High School ball. Everyone was so excited and for many people, it was their first formal event that they have been to. The day started off as a normal day of school. I arrived at school at around 8:15 and sat at the bench too tired to say anything, so I just listened to other people talk about stuff about the ball. The siren went for form and we all went to sit outside our form rooms. Something was weird about Patrick. He was angry about something and kept on hitting me. Didn't really bother me... until he swung his bag and hit my elbow which started bleeding, and soon all over the table in class.
First period was Physics and we had a practical test to do. Couldn't really study for it though so I was hoping for some luck. Luckily the whole experiment was so easy for me. The only problem I encounted was at the start when I was trying to find the refracted pin through the prism but soon (like about 15 minutes later) I realized that there was no need because it was totally internally reflected. The other problem was Jacob who did not have a clue on what he was doing so I had no choice but to help him because I am such a nice person (haha).
Then it was off to Introductory Calculus. I can never learn in that class because of Yazan. He is so annoying. He doesn't listen to a single thing in class and he is averaging 20% per test (that 20% is from my work). If there was only a way to make him disappear...
Yeah, anyway, it was recess and I tried to find a spot where I can study my notes before I went in to do the essay. Somehow, I was surrounded by about 10 people and ended up forgetting about the note. When I went into Human Biology, I quickly studied my notes and then write the essay out nearly perfectly, only realizing that I missed out a single bit. Pretty happy with it though and when everyone finished, we got let out early to get our ball tickets.

I saved a good 30 minutes by cutting into the line which seemed to be like 20 meters long and got my ticket which read on the front "Brenta". I can't believed they spelt my name wrong! Then we went to the galleria and i picked up the corsage, I only remembered paying for a corsage with blue ribbon but somehow received a corsage with blue ribbon and also a button hole. I was too busy to realize this. We then went and had lunch at Crepe Cafe. I had an Americana. Pretty ordinary and left me very thirsty. Went to catch the bus, then train and then I walk home.

Did nothing until 5 when Seb and Sean came over. Frankie couldn't find his way to my house so I was really rushed in getting changed. I even forgot to put gel in my hair so it was so plain. He eventually found it and I went to pick up Alison at her house. Then we went and all met at Shayne's house. Everyone was so nicely dressed up. The party bus came and we all boarded. Pretty cool bus, but the downside was that he used the radio for his music so it was random. Got off at Kingspark and then took photos. Pretty cool atmosphere with so many people there. Got on the bus again and we headed off towards the Sheraton Hotel (I think) We had to wait around for ages before they we got into the ball room. We found our table and sat down. Listened to songs being played and met old friends and random people. None of my friends were there so it was pretty crap. They all pulled out. We had pumpkin soup and then went to take photos. Came back, ate some chicken and potato stuff and then everyone went on the dance floor to dance. It was like a moshpit and i kept bumping into everyone. I also bumped into some gothic guy with a weird eye (I'll put up a pic of him when i get one) and he gave me the evils, so i gave him evils back (haha). Alison is a hell crazy dancer. Haha. We had dessert and then more dancing, and then the awards. I some guy named Patrick Shannon and his girlfriend from my year won the year 11 award thing and I felt sorry for him because everyone was booing him. He wore a Navy blue karate uniform and his gir;friend Esther Herft wore a japanese dress thing, but i forgot what they are called. When we finished, we waited outside in the cold for the party bus. We thought it wasn't going to come but ended up parking around the corner. This party bus was way better and had better music. Alison still had enough energy and danced with everyone all the way back.

Yeh, that was my night. Pretty complicated. I don't want to repeat this so that is why it is so long. I'll get photos soon and just ask me to see them.
See You!!!
